About Magic Threads & Design Co. ✨

Hi, I’m Megan, the maker behind Magic Threads & Design Co.! 💫 By day, I’m a front office coordinator at an outpatient physical therapy clinic, and by night, I pour my heart into creating handmade treasures for you.

My journey into crafting wasn’t obvious at first, but my husband always believed in my creativity and encouraged me to find a way to turn it into a side business. Sewing kind of found me when my son would ask me to stitch up his stuffed animals. I thought, “There’s got to be an easier way than doing this by hand!” That’s when I bought a handheld sewing machine, and although I didn’t use it right away, it eventually led me to a full-sized machine, and I became determined to figure it out.

It all started with making Mickey Mouse ears for my daughter’s first Disney trip, and from there, my love for crafting unique, personalized designs took off.

I’ve always loved Disney—from watching movies with my kids to visiting the parks. I’m not one to relax on vacation; I like to go, go, go, and Disney is my ideal destination! While it can be tough, the sparks of joy I see in my children’s eyes make every moment worth it. The way they talk about our trips long after we’re home is what keeps me coming back. This is where the name "Magic Threads & Design Co." comes from—Disney Magic.

Now, I create custom ears, shirts, totes, cups, and more, each crafted with care, creativity, and a touch of that magic we all love. When I’m not crafting, you’ll likely find me at a local coffee shop with my two kiddos—my 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son—enjoying chocolate milk (their favorite "coffee") and making memories.
